CHARIS Dues Policy
Member’s dues are vital to the financial health of the chorus. The money is used to defray all types of expenses like sheet music purchases, venue rental, AD and accompanist salaries, sound equipment rental, yearly GALA dues and many others.
Dues for a single concert are $60.00 per person; due at the third rehearsal for the concert. A member can save $20 per concert season, which includes the fall and spring concerts plus Pride, by paying a flat amount of $100 which must be paid by the third rehearsal of the fall concert.
A member can elect to pay the $60 dues in three installments. The first installment of $30 is due by the third rehearsal of the concert and must be paid before music is taken home. This amount will roughly cover the cost of the music if it is not returned. The second and third installment of $15 are due at the 7th and 11th rehearsal, but must be paid prior to the concert to be eligible to sing the concert.
While we rely on our dues and expect all members who are able to pay them, we never want to lose a member due to financial difficulty. We have a limited number of need-based scholarships available. If you find yourself in need of temporary financial aid, please speak to the president or treasurer.
