CHARIS concludes its 25th season with “Singing with My Sisters” on May 4 & 5, 2018, 8 p.m. at the Missouri History Museum. The concert focuses on the joy of song and the magic that happens when one voice becomes many. In honor of this silver anniversary, CHARIS has commissioned a new piece of music by Elizabeth Alexander that will debut at the May 4th concert, and we will sing “Singing for Our Lives” with a virtual choir of singers from GALA (Gay and Lesbian Association) choruses around the country. Musical selections for this concert will include Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way,” the big-band classic “Sing, Sing, “Sing” and Stuart Stotts’ touching “Music in My Mother’s House.”
Tickets are $17 in advance, $20 at the door. Senior (65+), student (w/valid ID), & child tickets are $13 both in advance and at the door. Advance ticket sales are now closed. General admission tickets will be available for $20 at the box office. Child/student/senior discounted tickets will also be available at the box office.
